PAUL POGBA has reported for duty at Manchester United's training ground as he edges closer to a return and got straight back into the swing of things.

The midfield ace has been recovering in Miami over the six weeks since getting injured in the Champions League win over Basel.

He is reportedly in line to return against Prem champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on November 5.

And Pogba looked ready for action at Carrington as he danced a jig of joy with Jesse Lingard - who Pogba has been pals with since they won the FA Youth Cup together in the France star's first stint at the club.

Pogba imitated the celebration Lingard pulled off twice after netting his pair of strikes in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win at Swansea.

Pogba has been training alone in Miami trying to speed up his recovery.

Boss Jose Mourinho sent the 24-year-old out there to focus on finding the cause of the hamstring problem.

United have been reluctant to put a timescale on his return.

But the club are hopeful it will not be that long and Pogba is now back in Manchester.

Last week a bare-chested Pogba posted a video on his Instagram account with the caption: "It's getting hot in here".

In the footage he can be seen starting to jog by picking his legs up straight.

He then begins gets his knees pumping before breaking into full stride.

As SunSport revealed, Pogba has been banned from playing BASKETBALL in a bid to prevent further injuries.

It is understood that United's medical staff feel Pogba's obsession with shooting hoops could aggravate his hamstring problem.

United fear that 6ft 5in Pogba is at risk of muscle strain as well as stress impact on his knees and ankles when playing basketball in his down-time.

And his slam-dunking habit away from training is believed to have contributed to the hamstring injury.

The France star, 24, is a massive fan of the NBA and is friends with several stars of the sport.

Last summer he posted a video of himself winning a one-on-one with Philadelphia 76ers' Joel Embiid. Pogba's use of a personal trainer not aligned to the Old Trafford staff has also led to concerns about his fitness regime.

The £89million midfielder has been sidelined since their Champions League opener in mid-September.
