Sergio Aguero becomes Manchester City record goalscorer after hitting 178th goal against Napoli
Argentine striker had been level with Eric Brook
SERGIO AGUERO has become Manchester City's all-time top goalscorer.
The Argentine striker took his tally to 178 in just 264 matches - moving past club legend Eric Brook, who played for the City in the 1920s and 30s.
After a burst forward from Leroy Sane in the Champions League clash against Napoli, Aguero picked up the loose ball and slotted coolly home to make it 3-2.
City went on to beat Napoli 4-2 to secure their passage into the knockout stages.
He said after the game: "I am very happy for this moment.
"I am happy because the team helped support me. This moment is one time.

His 178 goals have come in just 264 appearances - a rate of 0.67 goals per game.
