Liverpool post on Instagram commemorating 8-0 Champions League win against Besiktas in 2007… but fans of Turkish club respond in fine style
Yossi Benayoun was the hero that night as he bagged a hat-trick in the mauling... but the Red seems to have forgotten about 2015
LIVERPOOL have been trolled in spectacular fashion by Besiktas - on the tenth anniversary of walloping the Turkish side 8-0.
Back in November 2007, Yossi Benayoun bagged a hat-trick as the Merseysiders tore apart Besiktas in the Champions League.
So to commemorate that special night, the Merseyside club posted the scoreboard from that night on their Instagram page.
But Besiktas fans decided to respond in the most perfect way.
Hundreds of supporters of the Turkish club commented with the simple words "goodbye Liverpool".
Their comments relate to the famous words uttered by Turkish commentator Ercan Taner as Besiktas knocked Liverpool of of the Europa League on penalties in 2015.
Dejan Lovren blasted his effort over the bar, leaving Taner almost speechless as Besiktas progressed into the last 16.
And things have since got even tougher for Lovren in his spell at Anfield.
