BORUSSIA DORTMUND has suspended its top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for what the club says are "disciplinary reasons."
Dortmund said on Twitter that Aubameyang, who has 10 goals in 11 Bundesliga games this season, has been left out of the side to face Stuttgart away on Friday.
The club did not give an indication of what led to the sanction for the Gabon forward.
Aubameyang was also suspended by the Bundesliga outfit last November, when he missed the 1-0 Champions League win over Sporting Lisbon after taking a trip to Milan against then-coach Thomas Tuchel's wishes.
The pacey forward is going through a bad patch at Dortmund, having failed to score in any of his last five games.
Meanwhile, the title contenders have slumped to three defeats in four league matches without a win.
German newspaper reported how Aubameyang used two days off granted by the club during the international break to visit former Dortmund team-mate Ousmane Dembele.
In the summer, Dembele made a £109m move from the German giants to Barcelona.
