TOTTENHAM cruised to another comfortable win in their Uefa Youth League clash with Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

Having won the return leg 4-0 at home, Tottenham would have been hoping for a flying start going into the game two points behind Dortmund in Group H... and they very nearly got it.

After some great build-up play, Kazaiah Sterling couldn't quite prod the ball home.

But moments later, it was indeed 1-0 for Spurs, as Armando Shashoua converted from close-range after some magic from Marcus Edwards.

Dortmund skipper Jacob-Bruun Larsen was forced off not long after, following a heavy collision with Tottenham left-back Jaden Brown.

Spurs ace Oliver Skipp then had the chance to make it 2-0, but his fantastic long-range effort could only rattle the bar.

Second later though, Brown landed the second part of his double-blow as he used his quick feet to convert from some excellent Shashoua skill.

Dortmund were utterly on the ropes, struggling to get into the game at all - until a freak incident that is.

A tame long-range effort from Emre Sabri Aydinel appeared to be comfortably saved by Brandon Austin... until the ball slipped through his hands and into the net.

Edwards - the real star of the first-half - then grabbed a penalty for Spurs to put that blunder behind them... only to see his solid effort saved.

However, just before half-time a rapid counter-attack saw Tottenham go 3-1 up, with England youngster Jadon Sancho losing the ball before Sterling curled home a sweet shot into the far corner.

The second-half was an altogether scrappier affair, with both sides scuffing a couple of half-chances.

But compared to the first period, the second 45 minutes lacked intensity as Spurs comfortably clinched a 3-1 victory.

The win sees Tottenham leapfrog Dortmund to take the top spot in Uefa Youth League Group H, with just one game to play.
