Arsenal news: Manchester City set to launch January bid for Alexis Sanchez after two rival bids for Gunners star
Chilean ace is out of contract at the end of the season and Arsenal could be tempted to cash in or risk losing him for nothing
MANCHESTER CITY have joined the race to land Alexis Sanchez after Arsenal received two bids for the forward, according to reports.
The Chilean is out of contract in the summer and the Gunners could flog Sanchez in January or risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
Europe's top clubs are queuing up to sign the 28-year-old at a bargain fee and Man City are ready to test Sanchez's resolve with a tempting offer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Pep Guardiola was prepared to wait until the summer to land Sanchez on a free.
But he may be forced to table an offer in January with other clubs ready to splash the cash.
City were desperate to land Sanchez last summer but Arsenal refused to let their key asset join a league rival.
It is believed Sanchez would rather stay in the Premier League and reunite with Guardiola with the pair working together at Barcelona.
City launched a £60million offer over the summer to land Sanchez but now believe a fee in the region of £20m would be enough for Arsenal to cash in.
