The FA are still looking to see if the City boss broke any rules when he aggressively spoke to the Saints winger.

Guardiola insisted after the 2-1 win over Southampton that he was complimenting Redmond on his ability as a player.

And Redmond himself says there was no offence taken in the incident, which came seconds after the final whistle on Wednesday night.

But the manner of his approach to an opposition player has come in for criticism in some quarters, with people questioning if he overstepped the mark.

Because Redmond has appeared to confirm Guardiola's version of events, whether the Spaniard warrants disciplinary action is in doubt.

But even though the Saints star says he did not feel threatened or take any offence, the footage clearly shows Guardiola man-handling Redmond.

Crucial to any disciplinary decision will be context, but it was still not a good look to see a manager in such animated discussion with an opposition player.
