STOKE wrecked Wilfried Bony's goal-scoring return to the bet365 Stadium and heaped more pressure on Swans boss Paul Clement.

Bony scored a stunning opener against the club where he had an unsuccessful loan spell last season before returning to the Liberty Stadium.

But the Potters stormed back with two goals in four minutes from Xherdan Shaqiri and Mame Diouf before half-time.

Swansea have now taken just one point from the last seven games to leave Clement fighting to keep his job.

England keeper Jack Butland was back for the Potters after recovering from the broken finger suffered in training on international duty last month.

Clement axed on loan Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches after hauling him off at half-time in the mid-week setback at Chelsea.

The game got off to a dramatic start with Bony scoring after just three minutes.

Martin Olsson delivered a left wing cross and Bony got in front of Shawcross and volleyed past Butland from 12 yards out.

It was Swansea's first goal for 431 minutes and silenced the bet365 Stadium.

Stoke retaliated and dominated possession and it came as no surprise that it was the livewire Xherdan Shairi brought the Potters level nine minutes before half-time.

Fomer Swansea player Joe Allen threaded the ball into the path of Shaqiri who timed his run into the box to perfection and drilled his shot wide past Fabianski.

Four minutes later Diouf fired Stoke ahead with his fourth goal of the campaign.

Shawcross's cross was flicked on by Crouch and Diouf's initial effort looked to be handled by Alfie Mawson.

But the rebound dropped straight back into the path of Diouf who made no mistake.

Stoke defender Maxim Choupo-Moting was stretchered off early in the second half after attempting to tackle Bony.

Shawcross made a crucial tackle on Leroy Fer as he prepared to pull the trigger after surging into the Stoke box.
