CHELSEA target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly pinning his hopes on a return to AC Milan.
The unhappy Borussia Dortmund star is seeking a fresh start when the January transfer window opens.
And Tuttosport via claims Aubameyang is keeping his fingers crossed for a second spell at the San Siro, despite strong interest from the Premier League.
Chelsea have been linked with the Gabon international in recent times, as have rivals Liverpool.
But it appears Aubameyang would prefer to make a big-money switch to Milan following a fall-out with a number of team-mates and coaches in Germany.
The Serie A side spent an incredible £170million on 11 new players last summer but have won just 6 of their 15 league games this season.
Milan are already on their second manager of the campaign after replacing Vincenzo Montella with Gennaro Gattuso.
And despite being unable to afford Aubameyang six months ago, it’s said that summer signing Nikola Kalinic could already be forced out.

The Croatian is being chased by a number of teams in China, and Milan are apparently confident they can get at least £26.5m for his signature.
Aubameyang himself could cost upwards of £62m, but 96 goals in four-and-a-half Bundesliga seasons proves he can at least hit the target.
