Ex-Tottenham striker Mido shows off dramatic new look after retirement in bizarre new profile picture

The Egyptian's followers were falling over themselves to compare him to the late drugs baron Pablo Escobar as he showed off his moustache

FORMER Premier League star Mido has revealed his new look - and Twitter loves it!

Movember might be over, but the Egyptian appears to be happy donning a stunning new moustache.

And he could not wait to share a snap of him sporting his new upper lip hair as fans compared him to the late drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.

Mido unveiled his moustache last night with the caption #NewProfilePic.

And his followers wasted no time in showing their appreciation.

Twitter user @PeteR_Bakhit was the first to draw comparisons with the old drug lord, writing: "Pablo Escobar look."

While @Hafsa214 asked: "Pablo Escobar is that you?"

And @Mike_Pirie was hugely in favour, writing: "Holy s**t, what a guy!"

He was not the only one that could not contain his love for the 34-year-old.

Twitter user @jamesrcallow was also bowled over and simply said: ";My hero."

Mido was a cult hero for Tottenham during his time with the North London side.

He was an instant hit during a loan spell from Roma as he bagged 13 times in 36 matches.

That led Spurs to snap him up on a permanent basis in 2006, but he was on the move again a year later.

Middlesbrough forked out £6million to bring him to Teesside, but weight and injury problems blighted his time in the North East.

He went on to play for Wigan, Zamalek and West Ham before leaving Boro in 2010.

Mido signed for Barnsley in 2012 but only made one appearance for the Tykes before announcing his retirement.

He is now back in his homeland after embarking on a career in management.

The ace is currently in charge of Wadi Degla.
