JOHN TERRY has gone for an old school tried and trusted formula to help him on his road to recovery for Aston Villa.
The Chelsea legend has also the latest technology and sport science to help him battle back from the foot injury he sustained last month.
Terry, 37, has missed out on Villa's last five Championship matches.
But he was back at Villa Park today ahead of Saturday's clash with Millwall as he went through the latest stage of his rehabilitation.
Terry uploaded a a video to his Instagram that showed the veteran running up and down the terracing at the club's home.
Alongside the clip, he wrote: "Old School Runs at Villa Park today before the game.
"20 box to box runs and finished with running up and down the steps in THE HOLTE END."
And he looked to be well on the way to full fitness as he scaled the bottom section of the 13,472 stand.
Terry ran from bottom to top and back again before slowly making his way across the whole tier.
JT's last appearance came on November 4 against Sheffield Wednesday.
It was during that 2-1 defeat to the Owls that he broke his metatarsal.
Villa have won three and drawn two in his absence and currently sit fifth in the table.
They are six points off the automatic promotion spots.
