Suarez, 30, and Coutinho, 25, spent one-and-a-half seasons together at Anfield between 2013 and 2014.

The Uruguayan will be hoping for a sensational reunion at the Nou Camp with Coutinho having been tracked by Barca for the last few transfer windows.

Catalan club officials failed with a final bid of £118million this summer but are expected to go back in for the Brazil ace in January.

In the video Suarez explains Coutinho is his Secret Santa before the latter appears on screen and starts laughing at his gift.

Coutinho was spared an awkward answer over his future following Liverpool's 4-0 win over Bournemouth when team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain jumped to his rescue.

When asked about a big-money move to Barcelona, Coutinho began: "I always say the same thing. I try to enjoy the moment, I like to play football and every time I go on the pitch I try my best.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain sensed his pal was struggling and interrupted: "Phil’s a Liverpool player . . . he’s a Liverpool player right now and he’s doing really well for us."
