PETER CROUCH rolled back the years to perform his ‘Robot’ dance with a young Stoke fan this week.
Mark Hughes’ men spread the festive cheer throughout the local community this week, with some players going to visit the Donna Louise Hospice.
Crouch was joined by Jack Butland and Ryan Shawcross, but it was the giant striker who attracted the most attention.
Young supporter Kavanagh Hood was so smitten with Crouch that he started to perform the famous ‘Robot’ in the middle of the room.
Crouch was delighted to see his trademark celebration out in full and quickly joined in the fun.
A video of the moment was posted to the internet by Kavanagh’s brother, who wrote: “Made my brother’s day @petercrouch.”
Crouch replied: “He is a joy to be around. Love him and a better robot than me! X.”
Writing in his column, Crouch added: “One of the most humbling traditions we do at football clubs is pay visits to those having a difficult time at Christmas, when everything we do is put into perspective.
“This week Jack Butland, Ryan Shawcross and I went to Donna Louise Hospice in Stoke. The staff who work there are amazing.
“Donna Louise is a tough place to visit but it’s great seeing the faces of the children and parents light up. The kids were all bright and bubbly, and Jack and I really enjoyed it. I know most clubs do something similar but it’s a great tradition and long may it continue.”
