Bluebirds in desperate need of more goal power after four festive season defeats, while Birmingham City are also keen
IPSWICH striker David McGoldrick is wanted by Cardiff City to boost their promotion hopes.
Neil Warnock is keen on bringing the Republic of Ireland international to the Championship club for the second half of the season.
Birmingham City have also shown interest in the 30-year-old, whose contract at Portman Road expires at the end of the season.
Ipswich could be tempted by a small fee to land the ex-Nottingham Forest forward as they will lose him for free in the summer.
McGoldrick had eight goals in 15 games before picking up a nasty groin injury following a challenge by Sheffield Wednesday’s Glenn Loovens.
His action has been limited as he recovered from the deep gash suffered in November.
