Chelsea transfer news: Blues to make move for AC Milan ace Gianluigi Donnarumma if Thibaut Courtois quits for Real Madrid
Blues will target the 18-year-old Italian international this summer if they fail to convince Belgian to extend his stay
CHELSEA will do everything in their power to replace Thibaut Courtois with AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Blues stopper Courtois, 25, has still not agreed a contract extension at Stamford Bridge and has just 18 months remaining on his deal.
The Premier League champions still believe that they can persuade to star to stay at Stamford Bridge, despite the long-held interest of Real Madrid.
But claim Antonio Conte's side will go for Italian international Donnarumma if their current No1 does depart this summer.
Courtois has been heavily-linked with Madrid for months.
Having spent several seasons on loan at neighbours Atletico, he has also admitted his temptation at a return to the Spanish capital.
His children still live there and a move closer to his family would be highly appealing.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Donnarumma is rated as one of Europe's most talented players.

Already firmly established as a first-team regular, he would provide a fine replacement for Courtois and Chelsea fans would no doubt be satisfied if the club can push a deal over the line.
Donnarumma's relationship with fans at the San Siro has broken down over recent months over his delay in committing his future to the Serie A giants.
Rossoneri supporters have not held back in showing their anger with a number of chants and public displays in the stands, even reducing the teen to tears on occasions.
Despite this, the youngster still insists life is good at Milan, which opens the possibility that he could remain with them.
