In the past Monaco have been clear that they would not allow their top stars to move mid-season.

Midfielder Fabinho is also on the wishlist of a number of clubs.

Arsenal have a long interest in Lemar, 22 - especially with Alexis Sanchez seemingly on the verge of leaving the Emirates.

The France international almost moved to north London in the summer but the move broke down.

Liverpool, with a huge wedge of cash in their pocket after the £145million sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, have also been linked.

Jardim again stressed that he did not want to see his best players this month, but appeared to give a slight hint that the club could be tempted.

"We are not used to selling in the winter," Jardim told reporters on Monday.

"But the transfer window lasts until the end of the month and many things can happen."

Jardim suggested fringe players could be allowed to follow Terence Kongolo and Soualiho Meite by leaving Monaco on loan.

"Maybe a few who play little will be able to find time for play," Jardim added.

Jardim's team are currently nine points behind Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

The manager had to watch as his title-winning squad was decimated in the summer, with key men Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy all leaving.
