MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho looked like he had the weight off his shoulders in sunny Dubai.
The Portuguese boss had huge grin on his face as his side were being put through their paces during a warm weather training session.
Mourinho arrived in the Middle East on the back of a difficult week following a war of words with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
And with the Blues gaffer refusing to let his match-fixing accusations lie, Mourinho looked as though he had little care in the world soaking up the sunshine.
His side have been criticised in the league for falling 15 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
But it seemed Mourinho's mood was rubbing off on the rest of his side as they trained in high spirits.
Paul Pogba, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia were all snapped having a laugh in the sun.
And there was more good news with Michael Carrick returning to first-team training.
The veteran midfielder has yet to feature in the league this season after he was forced to have a procedure on his heart.
Carrick, 36, will be hoping he can force himself into Mourinho's reckoning knowing that his contract is expiring at the end of the season.
United don't need to rush back to the icy UK temperatures knowing that their next game is against struggling Stoke on Monday night.
The Red Devils are locked in a top four battle and Mourinho is expected to splash more cash this January to ensure a spot in next season's Champions League.
PSG's Lucas Moura, Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are all being linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
