ARSENE WENGER will be hard pressed to find a better spot to watch Arsenal take on Chelsea as he has been handed the top spot in the Stamford Bridge press seats.
The Gunners boss is banned from the touchline for the Carabao Cup clash with the Blues but will be sat snuggly alongside some of his favourite people – the British football writers.
The Frenchman will be sat just a few metres back from the away dugout where assistant Steve Bould will be in temporary charge.
The last time he sat among the fans at Stamford Bridge, in February last year, he had an embarrassing encounter with his gardener.
Wenger explained: “I must tell you that was a bad experience.
“I sat next to a guy who says, ‘Hello, how are you?’ “I said, ‘Good afternoon’. He said, ‘I am your gardener’. I didn’t even know him.

“Yes, he is my gardener. A gardener at my house, an Arsenal fan who went to the game - But I do have a big garden.
“It was a very uncomfortable experience, awkward. I was in the middle of the crowd and it was not pleasant, although I focused on the game. Tonight I will try to find a different place.”
