STEFAN DE VRIJ will sign a new contract at Lazio, according to reports in Italy, but potential suitors should not be throwing in the towel just yet.
Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona and Inter Milan are among the sides keen on the Dutch central defender, whose current deal is set to run out at the end of the campaign.
However, in order to avoid De Vrij leaving for nothing, report the Biancocelesti have inserted a release clause of just £22million.
It means the top clubs will still believe they can get him at the end of the season.
De Vrij, 25, is one of a number of talents in the Lazio squad and looked likely to leave in this transfer window as he initially looked to rejected any contract offer.
However, they appear to have found middle ground which will see him leave in the summer, but with Lazio at least pocketing some cash.
