'Oh f*** off Pedro'

Chelsea ace Pedro slammed by Gary Lineker after shocking dive in FA Cup clash with Norwich

Spaniard was later sent off after another yellow after trying to con referee Graham Scott into awarding Blues a penalty

PEDRO deserves to be banned for his blatant dive against Norwich City - even though he was booked by referee Graham Scott.

That was the verdict of BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas after watching the Chelsea winger fly to the ground.

Gary Lineker also condemned Pedro, tweeting: "Oh f*** off Pedro."

The Spaniard was given a yellow card for his simulation after going down in the area under a challenge from Canaries keeper Angus Gunn.

Replays proved that there was no contact and that Pedro was clearly trying to con ref Scott into awarding the Blues a penalty in the FA Cup third round replay.

As it was Pedro was dismissed in extra time after chalking up another booking for a foul on Wes Hoolahan - meaning he will be suspended for Chelsea's clash with Brighton at the weekend.

But Jenas was adamant the former Barcelona star should face retrospective action for diving in a bid to help eliminate this curse from the game.

He said: "I have to say, the distance between Gunn and Pedro looked too far for it to be a penalty. Fair play to Graham Scott to keep up with play.

KNOW WHERE ALEX-IS? Sanchez spotted for the first time in a week… but where?

"It’s shocking, it’s absolutely shocking, it really is. It’s a blatant dive.

"Like I said, fair play to Graham Scott for keeping up with the play and making the right decision.

"This is where my issue comes with the whole diving panel and retrospective action.

"Yes, a penalty wasn’t given, but what happens there? Nothing happens.

"If we’re trying to cut it out the game I still feel players should be punished for things like that.”

Alvaro Morata was also red carded to two yellows, the first also for a dive.

In the end Eden Hazard spared Chelsea's blushes with the winning shootout penalty after the teams drew 1-1 after 120 minutes.

Michy Batshuayi scored for Chelsea and Timm Klose netted his first goal for Norwich.
