Arsenal transfer news: Malcom ‘not likely’ to join Gunners in January with Arsene Wenger eyeing summer switch

ARSENAL will not be signing Bordeaux striker Malcom this month.
The Gunners have shortlisted the 20-year-old Brazilian, but any deal is now likely to happen in the summer.
Boss Arsene Wenger have a revealing update on the club's transfer plans, with Alexis Sanchez and his prospective move to Manchester United dominating the discussion.
However when asked with how the move for Malcom was going, Wenger said: "I don’t think we are close to doing that."
SunSport reported recently how the London club had already held talks with the forward over a move to the Emirates.
Malcom's agent hinted an Arsenal move was on the cards by uploading a picture of himself in London with the hashtag "PremierLeague".
The Brazil Under-23 star has scored seven goals and made five assists in Ligue 1 this season.
When pressed if the deal for Malcom could come off before the January transfer window slams shut, Wenger added: "I don’t think so, no."
