Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang move close as Borussia Dortmund leave striker at home for away game at Hertha Berlin
Gabon ace on the verge of completing his Gunners switch as a replacement for Manchester United-bound Alexis Sanchez
ARSENAL’S move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly growing closer after the striker was left behind for Borussia Dortmund’s trip to Hertha Berlin.
Bild claims Aubameyang was not on the plane which departed for the German capital today.
And it indicates that Dortmund are finally set to part ways with their key man in a mega-money deal.
Aubameyang is wanted by Arsenal this month after Arsene Wenger gave the green light for Alexis Sanchez to join Manchester United.
The Gunners would also like to bring in Brazilian winger Malcom from Bordeaux.
But Aubameyang is seen as the man to bring the good times back to the Emirates, with his strike rate over the years making him one of the deadliest hitmen in Europe.
Wenger has already been raving about the Gabon international, who could be set to partner Alexandre Lacazette in a lightning-quick partnership.
Dortmund have resisted attempts from clubs in the past to sign Aubameyang, but a number of disciplinary issues this season appear to have helped change their mind.

The Bundesliga outfit have already earmarked Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi as a potential replacement.
But Dortmund are believed to have first opened talks with Arsenal over a move for France international Olivier Giroud.
