The two players are in the throes of swapping clubs.

Mkhitaryan's agent Mino Riaola was trying to tie things up with Arsenal on Thursday night so both of them can play for their new teams this weekend.

Sanchez is reported to have been training with the Gunners' youth squad while his move to Old Trafford was thrashed out.

He looks to have agreed a £490,000 a week deal with United and will sign on for four-and-a half-years.

"When you get them there to the level and, after, they leave – of course that is the most painful and, after that, they do well for the other club.
