WEST BROM are negotiating a deal for Basel right back Michael Lang, according to reports.
The claim the Baggies have sent scouts to see the 28-year-old in action at the club's winter training camp in Malaga.
Albion are reportedly ready to offer the Switzerland international — who has 22 caps — a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Lang netted the winner for Basel in their Champions League win against Manchester United in November.
He can also play at centre back as Alan Pardew looks to sure up his defence to avoid relegation.
Lang has played every league match this season and could also help fill the void if Jonny Evans leaves this month.
