CHELSEA have been making waves in the January window and look to be adding to their defensive line up.
Left-back target Emerson Palmieri is reportedly on the verge of signing for the Blues after one last game for Roma.
The defender's agent has been very vocal about Emerson's wish to play in the Premier League, and his negotiating skills look to have landed a £20m move.
According to Italian journalist, , the left back is one step away from joining Antonio Conte, along with Edin Dzeko.
Poaching the pair from the Italian side would set Chelsea back a reported £50m, but it would be money well spent in bolstering their side.
Conte is looking to strengthen his defence as well as provide competition for his first choice striker Alvaro Morata.

Palmieri's agent Fernando Garcia had said: "Obviously, Emerson would love to play in the Premier League and it'd be a dream to work with Conte, as he is among the best coaches in the world."
The Brazilian switched his allegiances, and joined the Italian national side last year after a successful spell with the Brazilian youth team.
Which is helping the 23-year-old's case, as he wouldn't need a work permit to work in the UK.
His teammate Dzeko, on the other hand, is facing a stumbling block due to his age.
Chelsea have a habit of not giving players over 30 long term contracts, but the 31-year-old has scored 12 goals for Roma this season and even found the back of the net against Chelsea in a Champions League clash.
The Blues are reportedly looking to wrap up the deals as soon as possible, in a bid to bring the pair to West London ahead of their FA Cup match against Newcastle.
