Arsenal news: Gooners convinced Mesut Ozil on verge of signing new deal after latest post showing off home improvement
German drops biggest hint yet he is ready to commit his future to the club after sharing snap of latest home improvement
ARSENAL supporters believe Mesut Ozil has just dropped the biggest hint yet that he will agree a new contract with the club.
The German's current deal expires in the summer and he could leave for nothing in June after being unable to thrash out terms with the Gunners on an extension.
However, Arsene Wenger remains confident that the 2014 World Cup winner will commit his future to the club.
And desperate Arsenal fans wanting him to stay have also been given extra optimism after Ozil's latest social media antics.
The 29-year-old looks like he has no intentions of moving anywhere after revealing an image of his home improvements.
Ozil has had his "M10" logo etched onto a wall inside his house and shared a snap of the work along with a caption including hashtags #"myhome" and #London" - and Gooners loved it.
As you can above, many took it as concrete evidence that unlike Alexis Sanchez, who exited Arsenal to join Manchester United today, the former Real Madrid man was ready to pen a fresh contract.
The latest addition to his household marks a busy few days for the winger.
ALEX-IS DONE United confirm Sanchez deal with Mkhitaryan joining Arsenal
Ozil put on a masterclass on Saturday as Arsenal thrashed Crystal Palace 4-1 in the Premier League.
And fresh from that performance, he decided to go on a sightseeing visit around the capital on Sunday.
LATEST ARSENAL TRANSFER NEWS
He seemed to be having the time of his life as he travelled around London on the underground and kept his followers updated with his antics via his Instagram account.
Ozil has been joined at Arsenal by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with the Armenian arriving in the opposite direction as part of Sanchez's switch to United.
His potential extension would provide a huge boost for Wenger, and things could get even better at the Emirates.
Gunners chiefs are currently in Ozil's homeland as they attempt to finalise a blockbuster move for Borussia Dortmund hotshot Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.
Both clubs have been locked in talks over a deal for the 29-year-old for days.
And Dortmund boss Peter Stoger said today: "We would like the solution to be there tomorrow, whatever it looks like."
