Arsenal set to land Jonny Evans and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for combined £75m
Gunners chief Arsene Wenger is reshaping his squad after falling off the pace of his top-four rivals
ARSENAL are reportedly closing in on a £75million double swoop for Jonny Evans and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed yesterday that he was chasing at least two players in January.
And the claims Arsenal are now first in the queue to land Evans, while their Aubameyang talks also progressed.
Manchester City are eyeing £57m Aymeric Laporte as they seek an extra centre-back.
And that should clear the way for Evans, 30, to join the Gunners, despite the Citizens being believed to be his No1 choice.
West Brom are keen to thrash out a deal worth around £20m early so they can hand Alan Pardew funds to reinvest before next week's deadline.

“These are the kind of things that, at the moment, are one of the possible movements.
"We have other things in mind as well and we have plenty of opportunities in different positions.
"We are busy on all fronts. Every opportunity we have to strengthen our squad, we’ll take.”
