REAL MADRID will allow Cristiano Ronaldo to join Manchester United in the summer if they sign Neymar, according to reports in Spain.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is ready to call time on his spell in Spain and wants to quit the club at the end of the season — ideally by return to the Red Devils.

report Real Madrid would give him that opportunity, but only on the condition they land Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.

And that could pave the way for a potential swap deal in the summer.

One of the reasons Ronaldo is understood to be unhappy at the club is the rumours he will be used as makeweight in a deal to sign Neymar and be sent off to France.

And he was further irked by Los Blancos chief Florentino Perez's comments that the Brazilian was more likely to win the Ballon d'Or at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo was unhappy last summer and came close to leaving.

And, had Real Madrid landed Kylian Mbappe, it is thought the Portugal superstar would have been allowed to leave the Bernabeu then.

However, he moved to PSG and Ronaldo, 32, stayed on.

This season has been disastrous from an individual and team point of view, and the end could finally be arriving in the summer.
