Chelsea outcast Baba Rahman set for Schalke medical ahead of 18-month loan deal
Ghanaian left-back heads off for a return to Bundesliga where he made 13 appearances for Schalke last season
BABA RAHMAN is on his way back to Schalke.
The Chelsea misfit, who spent last season on loan with the Bundesliga club, is due for a medical.
The Ghana international still has a house in Gelsenkirchen and Schalke head coach Dominico Tedesco hopes it will be straightforward to re-sign Rahman on loan, hopefully for 18 months.
According to , Tedesvo said: "When we get the go-ahead from Chelsea, it won't take more than a minute to talk with Baba."
Left-back Rahman, 23, Baba, joined the Blues in 2015 for £21.7million from Augsburg in August 2015.
But he has endured a miserable spell at Stamford Bridge, making just 15 Premier League appearances.

The Ghana international suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage at the start of 2017, ruling him out for the remainder of the year.
But he is back in business now heading back to the club where he made 13 appearances as Schalke finished 10th in Germany's top flight.

There was also interest from Everton who are looking for cover for Leighton Baines.
He could follow Kenedy out of West London with the Brazilian leaving Chelsea on Tuesday to join Newcastle on loan until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have had a £44million joint bid for Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri accepted, according to reports.
