ALEXIS SANCHEZ looks to have tasted his first defeat in a Manchester United shirt.

But we haven't looked into the future and seen an FA Cup shock at League Two Yeovil, for this came in training.

Ahead of the Red Devils' trip to Huish Park for their fourth round clash tomorrow night, the squad were put through their paces at Carrington.

And eight players were pictured celebrating victory in a small-sided game - with Alexis Sanchez nowhere to be seen.

It must have been taken seriously - Nemanja Matic even wore the Premier League armband for the mini-match.

We can only presume Sanchez was tasting what he hopes not to taste again for a while - defeat.

It is just a question now of where he can play him and that, says Mourinho, is a great problem to have.

For it shows the amazing attacking versatility of a world class forward.

Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez finally lets his beloved dog Humber out at the Lowry Hotel

Mourinho said: “We have got one of the best attacking players in the world and he's very important for us because we want the best possible players.

“He can play everywhere, in the attacking positions.

“I know him for many, many years, I was with him in Italy when he was at Udinese and I was at Inter.

“In Spain, when he was at Barcelona, in England when he was at Arsenal... so our careers are almost made in the same countries simultaneously, so I know him very very well.

“I have seen him play on the right, on the left, as a striker and behind the striker; these are Alexis' positions.

“I have seen him play different tactical positions, different philosophies. I have seen him be successful in every country with every manager and every position.

“So he's a player that becomes more than a player because of that motivation; he can play in four different positions.”
