Chelsea boss Antonio Conte accepts he is facing the sack as pressure mounts at Stamford Bridge
Italian insists Chelsea's recent history of hiring ten different managers in 14 years means he must anticipate the axe
ANTONIO CONTE accepts he is facing the sack — just like his predecessors at Chelsea.
The under-pressure Italian said: “If you look at the stats you can see that in 14 years ten managers were sacked in this club.
“I looked at the history of the club and it was the same also for the other coaches.
“I don’t see a difference between them and me.”
Conte delivered the Premier League title last season and led Chelsea back into the Champions League but there are still huge uncertainties surrounding his future.
Conte, 48, is the eighth permanent boss since owner Roman Abramovich took over in 2003.
But he is under scrutiny like never before after being knocked out of the Carabao Cup semis by Arsenal on Wednesday and with the title out of reach already.
Conte added: “I continue to work very hard for this club, for the players, for our fans. I’m sure about my work and am doing everything to improve this club.”

Meanwhile, reports claim Chelsea have reopened talks with Roma over a deal for Edin Dzeko.
However, the Blues will allegedly drop their interest and pursue other targets if the move isn't agreed by Monday.
