Mesut Ozil to sign new Arsenal contract because of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s arrival
Reports in Germany say the midfielder who is out of contract at the end of the season will finally put pen to paper after the World Cup
MESUT OZIL will finally sign a new Arsenal deal thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's expected arrival at the Emirates, according to reports.
Respected German newspaper says the Gunners midfielder will put pen to paper after the World Cup on a £300,000-a-week contract.
Ozil, 29, is out of contract at the end of the season and it appeared either he or Alexis Sanchez would leave the club.
The Chile forward moved to Manchester United on wages of £505,000 a week.
That leaves Ozil primed to sign a new deal, with Dortmund star Aubameyang alongside him in the ranks once he completes his £55million move.
Arsenal appeared to leak confirmation of Aubameyang's transfer on their own website last night.
