Wigan star Nick Powell wanted by Brighton, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Swansea
League One leaders do not want to sell their star and the club’s prospective new Chinese owners could put their foot down and block a transfer
WIGAN are fighting to keep hold of Nick Powell with a clutch of Premier League clubs chasing his signature.
The ex-Manchester United forward, 23, is wanted by Brighton, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Swansea.
But League One leaders Wigan do not want to sell their star and the club’s prospective new Chinese owners could put their foot down and block a transfer.
The Latics have reportedly turned down a £3million bid from Brighton for Powell who has scored 11 times this season.
Seagulls boss Chris Hughton has already landed Jurgen Locadia and Leonardo Ulloa but still wants to add some firepower to his squad.
He would be prepared to sell Tomer Hemed to make a deal for Powell possible.
