Riyad Mahrez fails to turn up to Leicester training for the second consecutive day as team-mates turn on Algerian ace
Foxes ace has skipped team practise for the second consecutive day after he pulled out of the squad to take on Everton on Wednesday night
RIYAD MAHREZ has failed to turn up to Leicester training yet again.
The furious Algerian skipped a practise session on Thursday after pulling out of the squad in the 2-1 defeat at Everton on Wednesday night.
Mahrez is thought to be "very depressed" after the Foxes blocked his dream move to Manchester City on transfer deadline day.
His Leicester team-mates have turned on the wantaway forward and are thought to feel betrayed by his behaviour.
Boss Claude Puel confirmed Mahrez will sit out the Swansea clash in order to "clear his head".
He added: "Riyad will not be available for this game,
“I hope for Riyad he can clear his head and he can come back with us because he’s a valuable player for us, crucial in our play. We need to stay united after all this.
"His teammates wait for Riyad to come back. They're friends."
It is now the fourth time he has gone AWOL.
Puel told reporters after the Everton defeat that he expects Mahrez to reintegrate to the squad "with a smile."
But it appears that is easier said than done and work will be needed behind the scenes to repair the relationship between player and club.

Leicester are set to fine Mahrez a whopping £200,000 after his refusal to turn up to training.
He handed in a transfer request for the second time when Man City launched a final £65million offer on the final day of January.
However, Leicester had no plans to cash in and ended up demanding closer to £100m.
After four transfer windows of failed moves Mahrez believes he deserves a move to a top club following his achievements with the Foxes.
Leicester have allowed fellow title winners N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater leave for Chelsea in recent years.
