Olivier Giroud and Emerson Palmieri train in Chelsea colours for the first time since their moves from Arsenal and Roma
Giroud especially got stuck in - and will be hoping for starts against Watford on Monday
OLIVIER GIROUD and Emerson Palmieri were both snapped enjoying their first Chelsea training session today.
The duo were late arrivals at Stamford Bridge last month, with Emerson joining from Roma and Giroud from Arsenal for around £18million each.
Chelsea fans will be hoping their latest additions can help inspire the club to a top four finish.
And Giroud certainly seemed determined to impress as he worked up a sweat at Cobham on Friday.
Antonio Conte claims it’s unlikely the Frenchman will start against Watford on Monday due to fitness concerns.
But Giroud looked completely at ease in his new surroundings, and is sure to be hoping for a chance in Alvaro Morata’s absence.
Meanwhile, Emerson also seemed fit and alert despite only playing once this season.
The Brazilian suffered a bad knee injury at former club Roma and only recovered after six months on the sidelines.

Marcos Alonso is sure to continue at left-back for the time being.
But the arrival of Emerson means Conte now has more options if he wants to chase a goal or shut up shop.
