Former Barcelona chief Raul Sanllehi joins this month.

And Sven Mislintat's influence has already been felt with the club-record capture of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Wenger has long been resistant to a 'director of football' type of role at the club - but that is what Sanllehi will be, albeit under the title of head of football relations.

It was thought Sanllehi would be given total control of signing players in the summer.
