Bournemouth 2 Stoke 1: Lys Mousset nets late winner as Cherries come from behind to beat Potters at home
Xherdan Shaqiri had put visitors ahead early on but Joshua King began fight-back midway through second half
LYS MOUSSET earned Bournemouth all three points after the Cherries came from behind against Stoke.
The Frenchman headed home 12 minutes from full time to put an end to Paul Lambert's honeymoon period as Stoke boss.
Lambert had come into this fixture having taken four points from his previous two games to boost his side's chances of beating the drop.
And his side wasted no time to get going and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting saw his early effort hacked off the line by Dan Gosling.
But the Potters did not have long to wait to make the breakthrough as Xherdan Shaqiri put them ahead in the fifth minute.
The impish forward was unmarked and in acres of space as he headed home from Badou Ndiaye's cross.
The Cherries, who beat Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in midweek, almost hit back immediately but Callum Wilson's shot hit the side netting.
Wilson then really should have pulled Bournemouth level when he latched on to Lewis Cook's through ball only his effort was weak and easy for Jack Butland.

The home side continued to press and they were denied what looked like a certain equaliser for Jordon Ibe, only Stoke's Erik Pieters pulled off an excellent block on the line.
Junior Stanislas then had a penalty appeal turned down by referee Paul Tierney while Wilson's 25-yard free-kick was palmed away by Butland.
It was Bournemouth who again looked most likely to score at the start of the second half as King's swerving shot from distance was only parried by Butland.
While at the other end, Ndiaye, who hand a number of running battles with the Cherries on his debut for Stoke, tried a bicycle-kick that was just off target.
Bournemouth began showing signs of frustration as King was booked for diving in the box and then Wilson was left holding his head in his hands after wasting another chance.
But just as Stoke looked as though they were going to earn all three points after sustaining wave after wave of Bournemouth pressure, they finally cracked.
King had space and time to fire home the equaliser after Kurt Zouma and Joe Allen collided after caught out by Ibe's flick on.
It was not less that Bournemouth deserved while Stoke were lucky not to see Choupo-Moting sent off for his two-footed tackle on Ryan Fraser.
And then substitute Mousset 78th minute sealed the win when he headed home from Ibe's free-kick.
The result sees Bournemouth move into the top half of the league, leaving them five points about the drop zone.
