Sevilla ex-boss Eduardo Berizzo ‘recovering well’ in battle against prostrate cancer

Spanish club released Berizzo a month after prostrate surgery but were keen to post good news about his health

FORMER Sevilla head coach Eduardo Berizzo is recovering well after treatment for prostate cancer.

ESPN report the club have released an update on the condition on the man who lost his job three days before Christmas.

They tweeted: "We have good news. Sources close to Eduardo Berizzo tell us he is recovering well from prostate cancer through continued treatment.

"Everyone at Sevilla FC is truly delighted with his progress and want to pass on the best wishes for the future."

"My choice was quite clear and obvious when I knew that Antonio Conte wanted to work with me.

"I know that Conte appreciates my profile, we work well together.
