AARON RAMSEY was Arsenal's star on Saturday as his phenomenal hat-trick put Everton to the sword at the Emirates.
The Welsh midfielder, 27, scored twice in the opening 20 minutes as Arsene Wenger's Gunners stunned the Toffees early and completed his personal trio in the 74th-minute.
With all eyes on new signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Ramsey's stunning afternoon flew somewhat under the radar.
Aubameyang scored his first Arsenal goal, while ex-Manchester United playmaker Mkhitaryan added a hat-trick of assists.
But Ramsey was the true star of the show - as he became the SIXTH Welsh player to score a hat-trick in the Premier League.
The former Cardiff City ace joins five Wales legends in achieving the feat, last pulled-off by now-Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.
Galacticos star Bale notched a trio of strikes for Tottenham on Boxing Day in 2012 - all in the second half of a 4-0 thumping.
Before him, Rob Earnshaw (West Brom, 2006), Gary Speed (Everton, 1996), Mark Hughes (Chelsea, 1994) and Dean Saunders (Aston Villa, 1994) were the only Welshmen to notch a hat-trick.

In becoming Wales sixth triple-threat, Ramsey saw Wales pull level with Scotland and Norway in the hat-trick standings, just one behind two European powerhouses in joint-second.
France and Holland have both seen seven of their stars hit trios since the 1992-92 seasons.

Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Nicolas Anelka, Sylvain Wiltord, Robert Pires, Louis Saha and Olivier Giroud have all scored hat-tricks for the French.
Meanwhile, continuing the strong Arsenal feel, Marc Overmars, Dennis Bergkamp and Robin van Persie are joined by Dirk Kuyt, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Georginio Wijnaldum for Holland.
Far and away in the lead though is England, who have seen no fewer than 65 different players notched hat-tricks in the Premier League.
As well as the big names, including Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen are surprising names such as Luke Moore, Marlon Harewood and Marcus Stewart.
In terms of club success, Arsenal lead the way, having scored 39 hat-tricks since the 1992-93 season, closely followed by Liverpool (36).
Man United come in third on 32, with Chelsea and Tottenham joint-fourth, both on 23.
