WAYNE ROONEY hailed former club Manchester United for landing "perfect" signing Alexis Sanchez.
And the Everton striker, 32, believes ex-team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan will thrive at Arsenal.
Appearing on Monday Night Football, Rooney insisted both clubs will benefit from the sensational trade.
He said: "For me, Sanchez is the perfect player for Manchester United. He’s got aggression, passion, desire and you can see he’s a winner - I think that’s what United have lacked.
"They need players around Lukaku who are going to push him to try and help him. Sanchez will do that.
"A bit like Tevez they lift the other players and get an extra 5-10 per cent from them."

On Mkhitaryan - who set up three goals against Everton - he added: "He’s a very talented player, I saw it last season in training.
"At Manchester United he didn't get the freedom he wanted to go out and perform like he did at Dortmund.
"At Arsenal he’ll have players around him running off the ball and I think he’ll kick on."
Rooney was asked about Paul Pogba's recent form and thinks Jose Mourinho needs to change his system to accommodate the Frenchman.
The Old Trafford legend wants his former team-mate to operate in a midfield three - as he did with his superb spell at Juventus.
Roo explained: "For me, Paul Pogba is a class box-to-box player. He can do everything really well.
"I think he needs that freedom where he doesn’t have to worry too much about his defensive role. Then he can cause mayhem with his passing and shooting.
"Like at Juventus, he had [Andrea] Pirlo, he needs [Nemanja] Matic and another one next to him so he can play on the left of a three in midfield."
