Manchester United and Manchester City to do battle over the summer signing of £50million Leicester defender Harry Maguire
Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are both hoping to land the ex-Hull man, with City boss continuing his defensive overhaul
MANCHESTER UNITED and Manchester City are set to do battle over the signing of £50million-rated Leicester defender Harry Maguire this summer.
Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are both hoping to land the former Hull man in the next window, as the City boss continues his defensive overhaul.
Maguire only joined the Foxes last summer in a £17m deal - signing a five-year contract - but is already set to be on the move, according to the Mirror.
Guardiola is hoping to bolster his defensive ranks further, despite splashing out £57m on Aymeric Laporte in January.
On top of that, the Spanish chief landed Benjamin Mendy, Danilo and Kyle Walker in the summer.
Meanwhile, United boss Mourinho's only winter move was to swap Henrikh Mkhitaryan for ex-Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez,
However, the Special One has often claimed he is always in the market for defenders - with Maguire particularly impressing in recent weeks.
Neither Mourinho nor Guardiola will have it easy this summer though, with former Premier League champions Leicester showing they won't be bullied by the big boys.

Jamie Vardy has also remained a Foxes player despite interest in recent windows, including from Arsenal.
