Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool all chasing Watford ace Abdoulaye Doucoure
French midfielder told Telefoot that if he is to switch clubs, he would prefer to move to the Emirates with Arsene Wenger
ARSENAL are leading a host of Prem clubs in the race for Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure.
French midfielder Doucoure, 25, has stood out for the Hornets and was particularly impressive in the 4-1 hammering of Chelsea earlier this month.
That has seen interest from other clubs rise and the former Rennes man revealed the Gunners, Liverpool and Tottenham are all keen on signing him.
But Doucoure appeared on French TV show Telefoot and was asked would he prefer a move to Arsenal or Tottenham were he replied: "Arsene Wenger's Arsenal."
Doucoure is on a £60,000-a-week contract at Vicarage Road until 2020, so will not come cheap.
But Watford and their shrewd owners have proven to be a selling club – when the price is right – and could make a killing on the man they paid Rennes just £8m for in 2016.
Liverpool have also been linked with a move to the athletic box-to-box ace – especially with Emre Can expected to move on.
Doucoure has hit seven goals and provided three assists in 25 Premier League matches for Watford this season.
