MANCHESTER UNITED fans revelled in Manchester City's misfortune during their trip to Seville.

Travelling supporters outside the ground taunted their rivals by signing 'Will Grigg's on fire' before their Champions League clash with Sevilla had even kicked off.

Wigan cult hero Grigg knocked Man City out of the FA Cup on Monday on a night that descended into shame with the away fans' antics.

And with City's quadruple hopes going up in smoke, United supporters took delight in reminding their neighbours during their trip to Spain.

The announcer inside Sevilla's Sanchez Pizjuan stadium then played ball by blaring out the original song, Gala's 'Freed From Desire.'

And that got the United fans going again, with video footage capturing part of a lengthy blast from the away section.

Grigg has embarrassed United previously with a double in their 4-0 League Cup defeat to MK Dons under Louis van Gaal in 2014.

After Wigan fans began singing it as Grigg fired them to promotion from League One two years ago, it also caught on with Northern Ireland supporters when he made their squad for Euro 2016.
