BORUSSIA DORTMUND loanee Michy Batshuayi claims he was racially abused by Atalanta fans in Thursday’s Europa League game.
The Chelsea striker claims home supporters aimed monkey noises at him as Dortmund edged through 4-3 winners on aggregate.
Batshuayi has been in terrific form since moving to Germany last month, scoring five goals in as many games.
But he was unable to find the back of the net against Atalanta, and was left fuming when subjected to the horrendous chants.
Batshuayi took to Twitter to reveal his anger, and immediately had the support of the entire football community.
He wrote: “2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands… really?!
“Hope you have fun watching the rest of @EuropaLeague on TV while we are through #SayNoToRacism #GoWatchBlackPanther.”
One fan responded: “Don’t know why they’re doing monkey noises my bro, they should be doing goat noises.”

Another said: “Sorry to hear that Michy. Shouldn’t have to go through all that disgusting behaviour.”
One final tweet added: “As Italian I’m so ashamed of some Italian supporters. It’s so disgusting. Not a great game tonight but I’m really glad you guys won, congrats.”
