CHELSEA face competition from Paris Saint-Germain in the pursuit of goalkeeper Gianluigui Donnarumma.

The Blues have been forced to start looking for a new keeper with doubts continue to grow over the long-term future of Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian stopper is showing no signs of reaching an agreement over a new long-term contract with Chelsea, with just 18 months left on his existing deal.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have been after Courtois for the past two years and could finally make their move this summer as the plot of major overhaul of their squad.

That would leave Chelsea needing to bring in a top goalkeeper to replace him - and they have already earmarked AC Milan star Donnarumma as their first choice.

But those plans could be dashed amid reports that PSG have also decided they need to bring in a high-class keeper themselves.

Having invested so heavily on outfield players, the number one spot has been largely left alone with Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola their to senior options.

But now say they want to bolster that area of their squad as well as they continue to attempt to become the biggest club in Europe.

Donnarumma is still only 18, but he is already established as the first choice for Milan and is regarded as the long-term successor to Gianluigi Buffon as Italian number one.

The teenager only signed a new deal at the San Siro last summer, but his time at the club has turned sour - especially his relationship with the supporters.

Some sections of the crowd have been left unhappy at what they see as a money-grabbing attitude of the keeper, who courted moves elsewhere last year before signing his new deal.

They have made their feelings know at matches this season, and in one game Donnarumma was reduced to tears by the barrage of criticism.

That has led to increasing doubts over this future with the Serie A giants, with the player believed to be keen to force a move away at the end of the season.

Chelsea had already made moves to sound out his interest, while Juventus are also keen as Buffon approaches the end of his illustrious playing career.

But news PSG are also keen will be a major concern for the Stamford Bridge hierarchy as the look to prepare for the eventuality of losing Courtois.
