TOTTENHAM'S new ground will have a brighter future than many might have expected.
The £850million stadium on the site of the old White Hart Lane venue will glow on match-nights with LED displays.
Illuminating images have been released of Spurs' plans - similar to other new stadiums like Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena.
say Tottenham have 1,600 people working day and night to help ensure the ground is ready for the start of next season.
Glass panels have already been installed on the outside of the venue.
And 170 of the panels will have multiple linear LED luminaires - white strip-lights - to give a shine to dark nights.
Documents on the website of the council's planning department show the lighting plans were submitted last November.
Spurs are entering a key phase if the ground is to stay on schedule for the 2018-18 Premier League term.
The roof is now due to go up - but progress on such a high-tech structure depends on good weather conditions.
Eventually 324 LED sports lights - six on each column - will go up on the roof as floodlighting.
It is thought the new stadium will pay tribute to tradition and the famous White Hart Lane ground with some of its features.
The venue is also due to host its first NFL game on October 14 when the Seattle Seahawks play the Oakland Raiders on October 14 as part of a ten-year agreement.
And fifth-placed Spurs will surely be extra keen to edge into a Champions League qualification place for their debut season there - after using Wembley as a temporary venue this term.
