PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN star Thiago Silva has claimed Dimitri Payet threatened to hurt Neymar before he was taken off on a stretcher.
The Brazilian forward is in a race against time to recover from an ankle injury before the crunch Champions League second-leg clash against Real Madrid.
But team-mate Silva has said Marseille star and former West Ham attacker Payet told the referee Neymar would be taken out before he was left in tears in a heap on the pitch.
Silva claimed: “It's a shame. Payet said to the referee that he wanted to hurt. That is not football.”
Neymar — who cost the Ligue 1 leaders £198million in the summer — was fouled eight times before his match was ended by a Bouna Sarr tackle in the 77th minute.
The former Barcelona man was crying as he was removed from the pitch and he is now a major doubt for the visit of Los Blancos next week.
Marseille left-back Armavi has claimed Neymar should not expect to never be touched because sometimes he wants to draw a foul.
He said: “We play normally but he looks for the foul.

"That is what I see on the pitch – he waits for us to close him down and he lets the ball go at the last moment.
"So what does he expect? I think he looks for a bit. Everyone knows he has talent but he throws himself a bit easily."
