MARIO BALOTELLI'S agent claims the "€100million" striker could be about to return to the Premier League on a "bargain" free transfer.

The controversial Italian has rebuilt his career with side Nice over the past two seasons after a miserable big-money move to Liverpool.

But the 27-year-old is out of contract in France this summer and is set to depart for another crack at one of Europe's big leagues.

And Mino Raiola, who boasts Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba amongst his star-studded clientele, says he is already in negotiations with clubs in Italy's Serie A and the English top-flight about Balotelli's next move.

The super-agent said: “Mario is ready to return, he has matured into one of the top 10 strikers in the world.

“In Italy he’s number one. He’s worth €100million (£88m), but he’s on a free transfer and is therefore a bargain.

“I’m negotiating with many clubs in England and in Italy.

“I’ve spoken with Juventus, Roma, Napoli and Inter.”

Balotelli shot to prominence on these shores after joining Manchester City from Inter in 2010.

He went on to help fire the Cityzens, then managed by Roberto Mancini, to Prem glory before he was sold to Milan in 2013.

The forward enjoyed a fine campaign at the San Siro with 26 goals in 43 matches.

And that persuaded Liverpool to shell out £16m to bring him to Merseyside.

But he only scored once in the league for the Reds before he was shipped back to Milan on-loan.

Balotelli was unable to repeat his scoring exploits back in the Italian capital and instead signed for Nice after Liverpool agreed to let him leave for nothing in 2016.

After a decent first campaign Balotelli has returned to top form this campaign.

He has already bagged 20 times for the Ligue 1 side.
