GONZALO HIGUAIN is now a major doubt for Juventus' clash with Tottenham after being left out of the squad to face Lazio.
The Argentina striker, 30, has been in race to get fit since coming off after injuring his ankle during the derby win over Torino two weeks ago.
Juventus travel to Rome to face the Biancocelesti today, with a trip to Tottenham three days later.
Lazio come into this match in third place, one below Juventus — and became the first visiting team to win a league match at the Allianz Stadium for nearly two years earlier this season.
So Massimiliano Allegri cannot afford to take an liberties for this trip to the Italian capital.
Blaise Matuidi, whose absence in the midfield was key against Tottenham as it allowed Mousa Dembele to dictate play, is also included — though he returned in the midweek cup match against Atalanta.

Federico Bernaedeschi is another absence, and he will almost certainly miss the visit of Tottenham, as he may require surgery on his knee injury.
