Manchester City can almost feel the Premier League trophy, according to Leroy Sane
German star says the club can sense they're edging towards the history books but are still taking things one step at a time
MANCHESTER CITY can almost feel the Premier League trophy in their grasp, according to star winger Leroy Sane.
The German ace, 22, says the club can sense they're edging towards the history books but are still taking things one step at a time.
Pep Guardiola's City squad go head-to-head with reigning champions Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday afternoon as they close-in on title.
And ahead of the clash, Sane revealed: "We feel like it is getting closer and closer, but we always say that we always want to go step-by-step and game-to-game.
"But, yes, we can feel it a little bit. The season is almost over and there's only a few games left to play."
Sane added: "That kind of pressure of the bigger games upcoming is what I think gets everyone really excited.
"We are all looking forward to them. We try our best in every game.
"We have a really good team now and I think we're able to win more trophies.

"We have improved a lot since last season, but still we have some times when we can improve.
"I think it's a good thing that we can improve because it means we can get better."
Meanwhile, Guardiola added he will not allow complacency to seep into his City squad after putting themselves in such a strong position.
After the resounding 3-0 win over Arsenal on Thursday, he said: "I was delighted for the victory (on Thursday), but at training we are going to see the game.
"We are going to show the players what happened in the last ten minutes of the first half and first 20 minutes of the second half, because if that happened in the Champions League then you would be out.
"We lost too much control, we did not know what we should do. Always you have something to let them know we are not good enough.
"You have to have the players focused and to feel that they can do better. That is the best way to improve."
